There have been some changes in Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, with Rachael Thompson joining the business as Sales Director, and Krishan Bodhani, currently Head of smart and Product Management, Mercedes-Benz Cars, moving into the role of Used Cars and Remarketing Director. Rachael joins Mercedes-Benz Cars UK from Jaguar Land Rover, where she has been the UK Sales Director. Having previously worked in a number of roles across Audi, Volkswagen and Ford, Rachael brings with her considerable experience of new car sales operations. Since joining the company in 2015 as Head of smart, Krishan has been instrumental in delivering record-breaking sales results. An announcement regarding Krishan's successor will be made in due course. Gary Savage, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, said: "I am looking forward to working with Rachael and Krishan to further develop and strengthen our business success."

Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd has been crowned Most Reliable Manufacturer, at the annual FN50 event hosted at the Park Plaza in Westminster Bridge earlier this week. The Sprinter was also honoured with the title of Most Reliable Van. To compile the awards, FN50 companies are asked to rank their vans in order of the best performing in terms of breakdowns and warranty claims. These are then compiled to create league tables. Stephen Briers, Editor-in-Chief of Fleet News, explained: "Mercedes-Benz Vans dominated the 2017 FN50 reliability study, taking top spot in both the brand and model categories. The company moved up two places to become the UK's most reliable brand, while the Sprinter was the most reliable model for the third consecutive year." Steve Bridge, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd, added: "We're very proud to have received these FN50 awards as they come from the direct feedback of owners and operators, which is always so valuable to receive."

The Mercedes-Benz Pop-Up Shops have now welcomed over one million visitors to sites across the UK. The one millionth customer visited the Liverpool ONE store and received a £250 shopping voucher. Continuing the Pop-Up Store success, the next location is now open at The Trafford Centre in Manchester. It is a joint project between Mercedes-Benz Cars UK and Mercedes-Benz of Manchester Central. It showcases all things 4MATIC, including a C-Class Estate and an Approved Used A-Class. Formula One fans can also have a go behind the wheel on the official F1 simulator. As always, customers visiting the store have the opportunity to test drive selected models from the Mercedes-Benz range. The store is open seven days a week through until January 2017.
