Citroen C1 Boosting its Appeal

To strengthen the Citroen C1 range, two new special editions are being introduced. Citroen's partnership with the brand ELLE sees the addition of the elegant, trendy and connected C1 ELLE. And, the more adventurous C1 Urban Ride evokes a sense of escape via dynamic lines reinforced with wing protectors. Available in the 5-door hatchback version, Citroen C1 ELLE uses the efficient and high-performing VTi 72 petrol unit combined with a manual gearbox. Based on the top level trim level (Flair), C1 Urban Ride is equipped with a wide range of features that offer a high level of everyday comfort and enjoyment. These two special editions will be available to order in the UK from May 2018.

Citroen Wins Order for McCormick Fleet

McCormick (UK) Ltd, behind well-known brands such as Schwartz, Thai Kitchen and Hammonds of Yorkshire, is continuing to work with Citroen to supply vans for their fleet. Replacing a fleet of Citroen Berlingo Crew vans originally supplied in 2013, they have just ordered 156 Berlingo Crew BlueHDi and 10 Dispatch BlueHDi 120 XL Crew vans, fitted with upgraded Teletrac Navman Smartnav and stolen vehicle tracking system. It is on a three-year full maintenance contract through Alphabet. Tracey Hoare, McCormick UK's Regional Business Controller for the South, said: "The key benefits of the new fleet for us are enhanced safety, flexibility and efficiency for our Merchandising Team. It will also help them with dynamic journey planning." In addition, the Berlingos are equipped with a moveable bulkhead, which gives greater flexibility. The Smartnav system will also give the company the opportunity to look at how they can better manage their geographical coverage.

The UK Car of the Year Awards are designed to highlight the best new cars on sale today, and are aimed specifically at the UK car buying public. The judging panel is comprised of 27 professional motoring writers that come from all parts of the UK, and includes some of the most respected names in automotive journalism. Paul Barker Company Car Today said about the new C3 Aircross: "Characterful and very good value, New C3 Aircross manages to grab attention in the busiest area of the market." Debbie Wood of Business Car said; "For me New C3 Aircross wins for its keen pricing and very impressive comfort levels." The shortlist for the overall UK Car of the Year Award, which will be announced at the end of February.
